Anyone can list a stand. The hard part is being right.
There are other ways to find a farm stand. Here is the honest case for this one, including where it is weaker.
The problem with every other approach
Tells you it exists
A pin and a name, often years old. Nothing about whether anyone is there today, what is on the table, or whether the eggs went at eight.
Tells you it existed on Tuesday
Genuinely useful, and completely unsearchable a week later. You cannot ask it what is out right now within six miles of you.
Only the seller can be wrong
The page changes when the person selling remembers to change it. They are running a farm. It goes stale, and nothing in the system notices.
The buyers keep it honest
Every stand carries a score built from what people found after they drove out. The seller cannot touch it, and neither can we.
One tap does two jobs, which is the whole trick.
A check-in that only rewards the person checking in is a loyalty scheme. Ours corrects the listing at the same time, so the thing that makes it worth doing is the thing that makes the app worth trusting.
- You get a count you can rely on, and credit toward the stands near you.
- They get a traffic report, and a note from someone who was actually there.
- Everyone after you gets a number that moved because of a real trip.
What we will and will not do
Some of these cost us money. They are the reason the rest of it works.
No paid placement, ever
The moment ranking can be bought, "closest and freshest" is a lie and the map stops being worth opening. It is the easiest money in this category and we are not taking it.
We are new, and thin
A directory that has been around for years lists more stands than we do. Accuracy needs people driving out before it means anything. In a town with three stands, we are three stands.
Worth a conversation?
If you run a stand, the first question we will ask is what would actually make you open the app.
